Back Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a Research Fellowship you must pass all the following eligibility requirements:

1. You are a graduate student, probably in the later stages of your research leading to a PhD Degree.

   OR

   You are a research student or post-doctoral researcher who has recently submitted your PhD thesis; this should be no earlier than 30 September 2022. Note: this is the date of your first submission, not the date of examination, award of the degree, or the submission of a revised version of the thesis.
2. If you submitted your PhD before 30 September 2022 and still believe you are eligible because your subsequent research has been interrupted for reasons outside your control, please give details. Mitigating circumstances might include:
   • some of the research was done part-time
   • a severe illness
   • military service
   • maternity/paternity leave
